DNS Lookup Tool
Look up a public hostname through Cloudflare DNS or Google Public DNS. Request one record type or a combined set, and optionally compare both resolver snapshots. No lookup starts until you submit.
Your result
How the calculation works
The browser sends DNS-over-HTTPS JSON queries for A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, SOA or CAA. The table reports answer names, numeric record types, TTL seconds and each resolver’s authenticated-data (AD) flag.
Worked example
Looking up a domain’s MX records returns its resolver-observed mail-routing answers, priorities inside record data, and TTL values. An NXDOMAIN response is displayed as such, rather than as a healthy lookup.
Assumptions and limitations
Your hostname and IP go directly to the selected resolver. These snapshots do not prove global propagation. AD indicates the resolver asserts authenticated data for that answer; absence does not by itself prove a broken DNSSEC configuration. Caches and response times differ.
Enter a hostname without scheme, path or port. Private names and IP literals are rejected. An empty answer can be normal for a record type. SERVFAIL and provider/network failures require further investigation; they are not successful diagnostic passes.
