SSL Checker
Check a public HTTPS hostname through SSLtest’s keyless API. Start with chain validation, hostname matching and expiry, then inspect the provider’s certificate and connection details.
Your result
How the calculation works
The browser requests a port-443 HTTPS check from SSLtest. A processing response is displayed as pending; resubmit after at least 15 seconds. Completed provider observations are shown without converting missing fields into a pass.
Worked example
A completed report can show a valid chain, matching hostname, negotiated TLS 1.3 and a reported days-to-expiry count. A processing or unavailable report has no successful check result until the provider returns observations.
Assumptions and limitations
Hostname and IP are shared with SSLtest. Provider reports may be cached for up to 24 hours in the EU and have public-host permalinks. A grade is an advisory observation from one network, not a security guarantee or exhaustive vulnerability scan. Multiple-IP hosts can differ.
Use only lawful diagnostics on public hosts. An invalid chain calls for installing the correct intermediates; a mismatch calls for a certificate covering the requested hostname; a near-expiry certificate calls for renewal and rechecking. Consult your host or certificate provider before changing configuration. Limits and availability are controlled by SSLtest.
