HEIC to JPG Converter

Convert HEIC/HEIF photos into JPEG files without uploading them. Choose quality and an optional maximum edge, review each output and download individual images or a ZIP. Processing is sequential to reduce peak memory use.

Local conversion only. Up to 10 files, 20 MiB each / 50 MiB total. JPEG outputs discard metadata. Some HEIC variants and animations are unsupported; verify orientation and colours.

How the calculation works

The local decoder reads the HEIF image pixels. JPEG encoding applies your selected quality. Resizing preserves aspect ratio and only reduces dimensions; it does not upscale. Actual output size depends on image content.

Worked example

A 4,000 × 3,000 photo resized to a 2,000-pixel maximum edge becomes 2,000 × 1,500. Its JPEG byte size cannot be predicted from dimensions alone; the result reports the actual size.

Assumptions and limitations

Maximum 10 files, 20 MiB each and 50 MiB combined. Outputs discard EXIF/GPS and other metadata. Only the first image in a collection is converted; animations and unusual HEIF variants may fail. Colour/HDR and orientation can vary by source.

Check the preview before sharing or deleting an original. Keep originals for archival quality. This converter does not guarantee preservation of HDR, embedded colour profiles, Live Photo motion or camera metadata.
