PSD to PNG Converter
Read a local Photoshop PSD and export its saved composite or available layer bitmaps as PNG files. Documents stay in the browser; a bounded decoder worker can be cancelled if decoding takes too long. Individual images and a ZIP are offered.

How the calculation works
The decoder reads existing 8-bit RGB pixel data. Output width is min(source width, chosen maximum), preserving aspect ratio. Layer mode exports stored bitmap bounds rather than rendering a new document composite.
Worked example
A 2,000 × 1,000 RGB composite exported with maximum width 1,000 yields a 1,000 × 500 PNG. A smaller source is kept at its original size instead of being upscaled.
Assumptions and limitations
Three PSD files maximum, 10 MB each; 16 MP document, 100 layers and 32 MP aggregate layer bounds. Export caps at thirty layer bitmaps. PSB, CMYK, 16-bit, missing composite data and unsupported cases fail clearly.
Stored composites may be stale if another editor did not update them. Effects, text, adjustment layers and smart objects are not re-rendered. Re-save in Photoshop-compatible mode when needed.
