Time Card & Overtime Calculator

Build a dated timesheet from separate shifts, including overnight work and unpaid breaks. Set your own daily and weekly overtime thresholds, inspect each shift and download a CSV without uploading employee information.

Enter custom overtime rules. Monday-start workweeks; overnight hours belong to the shift-start date. No legal entitlement or payroll certification.

Use 24 to disable daily overtime.
Daily overtime does not count again toward weekly threshold.

How the calculation works

Paid hours = elapsed shift time − unpaid break. Daily regular hours are limited by the daily threshold. Weekly regular hours are limited by the weekly threshold, with daily overtime counted only once. Pay = regular × rate + overtime × rate × multiplier.

Worked example

A 09:00–17:30 shift with a 30-minute unpaid break produces 8 paid hours. A 09:00–19:30 shift with the same break produces 10 hours: 8 regular and 2 overtime. At $20/hour and 1.5× overtime, gross pay is $220.

Assumptions and limitations

Weeks start Monday. All overnight hours belong to the shift-start date. Split shifts share the daily threshold. A zero shift-specific rate uses the base rate. Inputs represent custom rules, not any jurisdiction’s employment law.

Enter breaks explicitly. Daily/weekly thresholds do not implement double-time, holiday pay, protected breaks, rounding policies or wage laws. Check the exported record against your payroll policy and contracts.
