eBay Fee & Profit Calculator

Compare an item sale with its seller costs, buyer shipping, collected tax and promoted-listing assumptions. A target mode finds the item price required for a desired profit. Refund percentage is a conservative retained-fee scenario, not a prediction of eBay credits.

Dated US USD no-Store most-category preset, reviewed 13 October 2026: 13.6% through $7,500, 2.35% above; $0.30 per order ≤$10, otherwise $0.40. Category/Store, international and optional fees differ. Use custom rates for other cases.

Custom profile only.
Conservative scenario: original fees retained.

How the calculation works

Fee base = item + buyer shipping + collected tax. Net profit = item + shipping − final-value fee − promotion fee − item/shipping costs − item refund. Target mode solves this relationship numerically.

Worked example

For a $100 item, $10 shipping, no tax, $40 cost and $8 shipping cost, the US most-category fee is $15.36. With no promotion or refund, estimated profit is $46.64.
